"All I wanted for Christmas was a furrever home. But I am still with my foster-mom, who loves me very much...but it is not the same. All my pals from the feral colony got adopted already. I can't figure it out, cause I am a really REALLY great kitten. I was voted Miss Congeniality by everyone in my foster home: cats, dogs and people. I love to play, with my toys or with other cats...but I never go cRaZy, like some kittens. I love love love a good cuddle too, but I am definitely not one of those needy neurotic kittens. I even like to meet new people (they might have new toys, or a treat, or just a new lap to explore.) I don't like to boast, but I'm gorgeous too, sleek and shiny with the softest most plush fur you have ever had the pleasure of petting. So what is the deal? What does it take to get adopted around here???? The last person who visited looking for a kitten said I was the cutest, but he would never adopt a black cat. He was more interested in striped kittens, even though those kittens don't have my A+ report card or a fraction of my personality. Could it be because I'm a black cat? "
Bixi was found at a managed feral colony. Her mother either had escaped the spay/neuter dragnet or was forced to seek more food to feed her babies, and in her search found the feeding station at the colony.
Bixi was trapped on the same day with several other kittens from the colony, who could be her siblings, cousins, or just good friends. Sweet, petite Bixi is a love-bug who enjoys a cuddle, preferably with you, but if you are busy, she will be content to curl up with a companion kitty or entertain herself. She is a feminine girl who can play like a tomboy, since she had to keep up with three male buddies once she was taken into foster care.
Bixi would love to join your family, possibly with another kitten that we pair her with, or with your still-playful, mellow, young-adult cat.
The Fine Print — While Community Cat Rescue would love to make our adoptable cats and kittens available to everyone, everywhere, we must limit our adoption service area to San Francisco Peninsula cities and towns. We simply do not have the volunteer-power or financial resources to make home visits (required for all adoptions), delivery of adopted cats/kittens and follow-up visits outside the Peninsula. An occasional, rare exception might be made, but it is not the rule.
