Gideon may be the world's most playful kitten. He loves working out on his A-frame scratcher, lives to bat ping-pong balls around...well, just about any type of ball...and simply loves tossing and pouncing on his chirpy mouse. He is very curious and very social, loves being held and petted, as long as it doesn't interfere with a ballgame or a mouse chase, and has the best time wrestling with his brothers.

Gideon and his two brothers were born in a neighborhood in a mid-Peninsula city. His mom was a very wily, feral cat, who eluded trappers last season, and had been known to have had a previous litter. She returned to the same house each time, bringing her tiny kittens into the homeowner's garage, but by the time the person could call and get a trapper out, the mom would remove the kittens. This time, all the planets were aligned, the call was made, the trapper arrived, and the kittens were taken into care.

This gorgeous little guy would love an indoor home with lots of affection and attention, and you among his playmates, along with at least one of his equally gorgeous and playful brothers.

The Fine Print — While Community Cat Rescue would love to make our adoptable cats and kittens available to everyone, everywhere, we must limit our adoption service area to San Francisco Peninsula cities and towns. We simply do not have the volunteer-power or financial resources to make home visits (required for all adoptions), delivery of adopted cats/kittens and follow-up visits outside the Peninsula. An occasional, rare exception might be made, but it is not the rule.

So give them a look, because adoption fees for solid black or black and white kittens are now only $25. All kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped with lifetime registration, tested for FIV/FeLV, and vaccinated, too.
