Eclipse is a big, handsome, super-sleek and shiny black cat. He is a very affectionate boy who likes attention, so it is hard to believe that he was abandoned. Eclipse was found wandering in the hills on the Peninsula, no safe place for a domestic pussycat! We tried, without success, to find his previous owner, and so Eclipse went to a foster home.
Eclipse adapted well to life indoors, and in fact it is hard to believe that he survived his time lost in the hills. For a large cat, Eclipse is surprisingly adept at curling up in a lap. He loves it when you pet him, and he especially loves head and neck rubs, and he will lean into those massages for more, more, more, please!
Eclipse is a vigorous, playful, muscular boy. A vet said he could be as old as 4 years old, but he plays like a 2-year-old cat that has just barely reached adulthood. He has adapted perfectly to life indoors, but he might enjoy some access to outside under safe circumstances. And since he survived in the hills by himself, we suspect that he could keep your yard clear of rodents, as well.
Eclipse is very healthy, and has a good appetite! He has tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and like all of our cats, Eclipse is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
The Fine Print — While Community Cat Rescue would love to make our adoptable cats and kittens available to everyone, everywhere, we must limit our adoption service area to San Francisco Peninsula cities and towns. We simply do not have the volunteer-power or financial resources to make home visits (required for all adoptions), delivery of adopted cats/kittens and follow-up visits outside the Peninsula. An occasional, rare exception might be made, but it is not the rule.
