Victor has been adopted!

Victor w/RS (CCR #1084)
Male
Domestic Short Hair / Tabby
Blue-Gray tabby

Victor is curious about the world, a definite explorer. He enjoys the company of other people and other cats. He likes chasing and being chased by some of the cats with which he is now fostered. While Victor loves petting and attention, he is not a kitten to sit in your lap forever, because there is always another toy, another window, another place to explore, more fun to create. He probably will settle into more of a lap cat as he becomes more mature.

Victor came from a neighborhood where residents tended not to spay or neuter their cats. As a result, the cat population exploded, and the residents took an unkind view of all the cats and kittens running loose in their streets. Some even resorted to drastic and illegal methods of discouraging or disposing of the cats. But, through the efforts of a local woman, residents were convinced to let rescuers trap, spay and neuter the cats, and now the cat colonies are under control. Still, Victor was lucky to be removed from his difficult street life, and be taken into foster care.

Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and negative for FIV/FeLV, Victor is in very good health. He does have a blocked tear duct in his left eye, which occasionally causes the eyelid not to be fully open all the time, making him look like he is giving you a half-wink. This does not require veterinary intervention or medication, and may resolve itself over time. Gentle 'massage' on the left side of his nose and cheek while he is spending time in your lap may help unblock the duct.

The Fine Print — While Community Cat Rescue would love to make our adoptable cats and kittens available to everyone, everywhere, we must limit our adoption service area to San Francisco Peninsula cities and towns. We simply do not have the volunteer-power or financial resources to make home visits (required for all adoptions), delivery of adopted cats/kittens and follow-up visits outside the Peninsula. An occasional, rare exception might be made, but it is not the rule.

BLACK KITTEN ADOPTION SPECIAL!

Did you know that black kittens have the hardest time finding homes, despite their wonderful personalities? So give them a look, because adoption fees for solid black or black and white kittens are now only $25. All kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped with lifetime registration, tested for FIV/FeLV, and vaccinated, too.

THE FINE PRINT – Adoptions limited to Peninsula locations. Exceptions possible.
