This kitten and her three siblings were named by the lucky winner of our recent Facebook Kitten-Naming Contest (www.facebook.com/communitycatrescue). Our judges chose the prize-winning submission of the four names.

Adorable little Sequoia, one of three Tortoiseshell sisters and their fluffy black sister, was rescued by a resident of a large complex on the Peninsula. The kind samaritan offered a hungry, stray cat a square meal, and finding that the kitty was tame and friendly, invited her into her apartment. A few days later, she was rewarded for her act of kindness when Breezy, the stray cat, presented the resident with four fluffy newborn babes! The resident contacted us for assistance, but volunteered to foster the mom and babies through their quarantine period, and then mom and kittens were transferred into our care a few weeks later.

The picture of health, these kittens are extremely friendly and people-oriented; come rushing up to greet you; will entertain themselves, each other and you with their antics; and never show up late for a meal. Each kitten is a fluffy bundle of joy and happiness, with self-confidence to burn. One look at their adorable faces, and you will be a goner...not to mention in a quandry as to who to choose!
