A cat family appeared suddenly in a mid-Peninsula backyard, and took refuge under a shed there. Or so they thought. The homeowner spied them, and called for trapping assistance. The trappers responded quickly, and Vera and sister Violet were both caught the same night. But when Vera realized she was captured, she screeched her little head off, and alerted the rest of the family to flee the yard.

These sisters are both purr machines, and enjoy each other's company, though Vera is giving signs that she might like to strike out on her own in a home without sister Violet. Playful and easily handled, these great looking sibs enjoy curling up in your lap while you stroke their soft fur. Vera likes to stick both front paws through the cage bars, and move them back and forth, as if she were playing both sides of a ping pong match! They both play with toys, and like to hang out in the hammock in their cage. But that may not be for long, as they are ready to stretch their legs in a much larger space, where they can run full out and do some vertical exercise on a cat tree...like 'upward facing cat,' for instance.
