This litter of eight...yes, EIGHT!...was discovered in a resident's immediate vicinity on the mid-Peninsula. As she is not allowed to have a cat in her dwelling, she asked if we could capture the kittens, take them into foster care, and then adopt them to forever homes. She even assisted us with trapping.

On the first try, seven kittens were captured, but the eighth kitten and momcat became very trap-wary after seeing the other kittens enter and then disappear, so trapping was stopped for a few days in hopes that they would forget the experience and would enter the traps. Well, they did...together! Both mom and the eighth kitten went into the same trap, mom has been vet checked and spayed, and the resident is feeding and caring for her in her backyard. The eighth kitten joined his seven siblings in foster care with us.

All eight of this B-I-G family are offered for adoption in pairs. They have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested, and FVRCP vaccinated. All were flea- and worm-treated upon arrival.
