This kitten was discovered by a volunteer trapper/feeder who happened to be checking an area where homeless cats had colonized and were being fed, to see if any trapping was needed there. She spied a small, pale figure in the distance and on the other side of some dilapidated snow fencing. The trapper called out to the kitten, it meowed and came running to her! They had to walk a distance before finding a small opening at the bottom of the fence, through which the kitten squeezed, and then threw herself into the lap of her crouching 'savior.' And the rest, as they say, is history.

Tiny Hildi obviously was very people-oriented, and had either strayed from her home or was abandoned to her fate. But she was scooped up and cared for by her rescuer, while waiting for a spot to open up for her in our care.

Hildi would like to slide down your chimney in Santa's pack...or sooner! She does not have a kitty companion here in foster care, but would love to join your male kitten of similar age and disposition, or even a young adult male who is still playful and would be tolerant of this sweet, charming, beautiful, toy-loving and well-mannered little lady. Hildi got along well with her rescuer's housecats and small dog. And...bonus...Hildi is one of the approximately 20-percent of orange kittens who is female; most orange kitties are male.

Spayed, tested, microchipped, FVRCP vaccinated, and treated for fleas and worms, Hildi is ready to expand her horizons and move to her forever home.
